With a beautiful real copper exterior, the Viking 13-Piece Copper Cookware Set is exceptional cookware prized by professional chefs and home cooks alike. The tri-ply construction provides even heat throughout the whole pan so it heats up quickly, with 18/8 stainless steel interiors for fast boiling and efficient cooking. The real copper exterior will develop a rich, beautiful patina with each use, when properly cared for.

Why use cookware made with real copper?

Prized by professional chefs and home cooks alike, the 13-Piece Tri-Ply Copper Cookware Set from Viking serves up superior performance paired with a beautiful, real copper exterior finish. The Viking 13-Piece Tri-Ply Copper Cookware Set is made from real copper. Copper cookware is extremely conductive, making this cookware set more efficient at cooking over lower heat and with a more even heat distribution—no hot spots.

Why do professional chefs prefer copper pots and pans?

There's a reason that sauciers and confectioners prize copper cookware to handle delicate tasks. Due to its high thermal conductivity, you’ll achieve perfectly uniform heating and unrivaled temperature control. Your copper cookware will not only heat up quickly, but it cools quickly as well, making it the perfect companion for cooks seeking precision and control in their cooking. When it comes to cooking with copper cookware, keep your heat low to moderate and let the pan do the rest. Pre-heating pans are a thing of the past.

All of the pieces are made with a surgical grade, non-reactive, stainless cooking surface and are multi-purpose for the stovetop, oven and grill up to 600°F. Vented glass lids help prevent boil overs and are heat-safe up to 400°F.

What's included in this copper cookware set?

Viking's 13-piece cookware set includes an 8" fry pan, 10" fry pan, 2.25 qt saucepan with lid, 3 qt saucepan with lid, 4 qt soup pot/small stock pot with lid, 5.25 qt sauté pan with helper handle and lid, 8 qt stockpot with lid and stainless steel pasta strainer insert.

How do I care for copper cookware and keep it beautiful?

Because this professional cookware is made of real copper, it requires a little more TLC than other pots and pans. This cookware will show color variations caused by heat, marks from fingerprints and will develop a rich patina over time. These natural cosmetic changes to the copper will not affect its cooking performance.

Enjoy the rich patina that real copper develops naturally over time, or easily keep the exterior looking like new with a copper polish or a combination of lemon and salt. Also, take care to use only low to medium heat, which will provide great results with less energy and even heat distribution, and cause less color variation due to heat.

Quality cookware, couldn't be more pleased with the look and construction of this set. I'm sure they'll look even better when they have a patina develop. It was a little scary starting to cook on pans not covered in Teflon (it's been a while), but so far it's worked fine. The Teflon was the whole point of buying this kind of set, no matter how much we've spent on good quality non-stick pans eventually the Teflon breaks down. I'm in my fifties and I think this is the last cookware set I'll have to buy

Cookware set you can hand down for your grandkids

So far I love this set. Easy to care for and they cook evenly. To remove any discoloration on the inside I use barkeepers friend and I always wash by hand and throughly dry. Very beautiful pots and pans that require a bit more tlc than other sets but totally worth it,

Awesome cookware

OMG!! Absolutely the best cookware. Nice and heavy, handles are long enough where you grab to pick up without burning your hands. The absolute best price. Great value for the money. This isn't the cheap stuff, it's good, quality professional cookware. I have to buy it again for Christmas for my daughter.

Viking 13-piece Try-Ply Copper Cookware SAer

I was so tired of buying non-stick cookware and having them wear out within a year or two. There are 8 in our household and we do a lot of cooking. This set of cookware will last a lifetime. I like how well it distributed heat and cooks on lower setting than other pans. No problems with food sticking when cooked at lower heat. Like that this cookware can go in the oven as well as stove. We have a smooth top range and they have worked wonderfully.

Love this cookware

I’ve used only a few time so far and have had no problems. The long handles are helpful on the large gas burners on my stove. No more hot plastic handles letting off noxious fumes. They are beautiful. My only issue is that the handles are riveted on the inside of each pan which creates two places where food can dry so I have to look closely to make sure the pan is clean.

Beautiful, substantial and great value

Viking is a long time name in professional cookware. Extremely well made, life time product. The only place I could find it with a copper exterior was at Sam's, my wife loves quality copper kitchen ware. This less than half what Viking pots and pans go for.

GREAT PRODUCT

Yes it tarnishes, it’s copper, that’s what copper does. I simply love the heat distribution that copper offers as no other metal I’ve cooked with compares. If you’re looking for a set that is durable and gets the job done this is it. I’d you want a set that’s going to stay looking like a new penny without some work, then you need to look elsewhere.

Copper cookware

These pans are not only beautiful, but are excellent quality. They cook evenly and clean up beautifully. I love the measuring lines inside the pans and especially love the pasta strainer. The pot handles stay touchable when the put is hot, but the lid handles get hot.
Overall, this set was an excellent value for the quality!

Excellent quality!

This cookware is simply beautiful, and the value to market is crazy. Before getting this set I shopped many Copper Cookware sets, and for real copper in this piece count from a great brand like Viking you will literally pay over $600 easy. This set cooks wonderfully, and there is just a very small learning curve coming from non-stick cookware to a Stainless interior cooking surface. Just add a little bit of oil to the pan and you should be good to go. Also, when reading the care and use booklet, I noticed that they recommend really only cooking on medium heat to slightly over medium heat for best results and so far I agree. I grabbed some Bar Keepers Friend to use to keep this cookware polished and shinny.

Just WOW

Very attractive cookware set and very even cooking. Be careful to go easy on the heat though as they suggest in the manual. The stainless insides can be tough to clean as is normal. The outside is prone to overheating and may change color, but using the Penny Brite copper cleaner sample provided works great to solve any exterior issues. Unfortunately you can't find Penny Brite any more - which was biodegradable too!

Great cookware - go easy with heat though!

I received these as a gift, and I wish my husband had done more research on their maintenance before purchasing. The very first time I used a pan to make some quick quesadillas for my kids, the whole copper surface of the pan turned a blotchy pinkish-red color. I called the manufacturer and they said that discoloration with use is pretty normal and I could use some vinegar and water to bring back the original color. I don't want to have to polish my pots/pans after every use. I cook three meals a day for five kids, someone in my position does not have time for such delicate cookware, no matter how well they conduct heat.

Discolored significantly after first light use
