I was looking for a small tv for my kid's room . This vizio 40" tv  is the perfect size of what I was looking for. pictures are  clair, volume good,  tv is light weight and  setting the tv was so fast and simple .  
 Easy to mount on the wall as well. I used the stud free wall mount and it looks beautiful on the wall.
I'll recommend it.

I love this TV so much! I was looking for a TV for my workout room, and this is the perfect size. I use Roku devices for all of my streaming, and this is even nicer because it doesn't require an external box.

The picture is great quality, and it comes preloaded with so many apps. The sound is never great on any TVs now because the speaker is in the back, but I was able to buy a small sound bar that makes all the difference.

For a user-friendly smart TV, with a great picture, I highly recommend this Roku TV!

We absolutely love our Vizio TV! This is the third Vizio we've bought because we like them so much. They're super easy to install and set up, the picture is always great, and the sound is good too. And now you even get lots of free channels through Vizio automatically when you purchase the TV. I would definitely recommend this TV.

Great TV!

The screen works fine, sound is a bit weird and I had to plug a streaming stick into it because it won't even open half of the apps and refuses to let me move apps around so I can access the ones I normally use. The remote app also only half works, most of the buttons don't do anything.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The navigation was slow and unreliable, the remote is tiny and very poorly laid out for anyones normal hand size and rather impossible for a mans larger hand to use easily, and set up of this TV was very unsatisfactory and required immediate troubleshooting and resetting to factory settings  to make it work properly which meant starting all over and even then it still has its frustrating features and a really cheap frustrating to use remote that doesn't work unless you hit tap the Round directional bar in just the right spot... If that was gonna be the case then it should just have a D pad not the round O button that barely works....  For a Brand that I otherwise have always liked I will be very careful in the future or just no longer buy Vizio at all...

I have a subscription to a team on the MLB app. I forgot that you cannot download the MLB app to a Vizio TV. although I do like the TV and it's picture and price, if I would've remembered, I wouldn't have purchased it because as it is, I have to stream through my IPad to the TV to be able to watch the baseball games.  that's my only complaint

This TV lags so bad. When you’re scrolling trying to get to the apps or through the apps to get to your selection it gets stuck, starts scrolling by itself, or won’t move at all. The remote is tiny %26 all the buttons are right on top of each other. The volume sucks so bad. To hear anything you have to crank it up past 50. The picture is really good. I like how the Home Screen is set up but all in all, I’m really disappointed.

Dissappointing

It would be nice if they included simple basic instructions with the TV.  I had to go online to figure out how to work various functions, like changing channels by simply pressing the "freewatch" button instead of having to back out to the home page and starting from there.   I really hate this DIY system we all have to live by these days.

this TV is one of the most annoying appliances I have ever had the miss pleasure of owning. If I touch the side of it, it resets totally and I have to put everything back on it, so if I want to open my bedroom window, I have to plan on reinstalling Netflix, etc. I hate this TV. I'm more than hated. I despise it.

I bought this 40” Vizio TV on sale for $107, so I wasn't expecting top-tier quality—but there are some pretty frustrating issues.

First, the size is a bit misleading. It's advertised as 40 inches, but measuring across the screen width is only 35 inches. I understand TVs are measured diagonally, but it still feels smaller than expected.

Performance is the biggest issue. Apps and even the free built-in shows take several minutes to load. I have fiber optic high-speed internet, so the lag is definitely not on my end. It makes the “smart” features feel very slow and frustrating to use.

The settings are also very limited. There's not much room to adjust or customize things the way you'd expect.

Setup was another hassle. I had to go out and buy a specific screwdriver just to attach the feet because none of my standard ones fit. On top of that, you're basically forced to download an app on your phone just to use the TV—without it, you can't even fully set it up or operate it properly.

Overall, you get what you pay for. It works, but it's slow, limited, and inconvenient. I would not recommend this TV.
