Easy and straightforward setup. My wifi improved and is now five times faster, thanks to this router.

NOT EASY TO SET UP AS THEY SAID, AND THE INSTRUCTIONS ARE SO SMALL YOU ALMOST NEED A MAGNIFYING GLASS TO READ THEM. TOOK ALONG TIME TO GET IT WORKING, AND IT DID NOT WORK THAT GOOD EVEN THEN MY OLD ONE HAD AS MUCH OR MORE COVERAGE THAN THIS DID. THE SOFTWARE IS NOT USER FRIENDLY AT ALL, ADD TO THAT THE FINE PRINT TEXT. NO THANKS TP-LINK YOUR GOING BACK TO THE STORE. I DON’T THINK I’LL BE BUTING ANY OTHER TP-LINK STUFF EITHER.

WHERE IS THE MAGNIFYING GLASS?

setting up the router and getting everything connected has been a complete pain.  I reused the same name and password, yet none of my devices would reconnect.  I have had to individually go to each device and reenter the same name and password.  Some then reconnect the first try and others take multiple attempts, while some won't reconnect no matter what I tried.  I have never had this much trouble with a new router.

Pain to set up

Purchased this unit on 8-15-2026 and went thru the pain of aligning all of my network devices to it. After about 24 hours the Wi-Fi side kept dropping out knocking a bunch of my devices off line. This happened 6 times. I update the firmware last night and we will see how long it lasts this time.
