This is the third one of these baby gates we've purchased to baby proof throughout our home. It is a quality baby gate.

Perfect for what we needed.  I use it a couple days a week when my great nephew is here.  It doesn't damage the walls and it doesn't have to be put up and taken down.  We just leave the gate open when he's not here and it's wide enough to easily walk through with groceries or whatever.  We used 1 of the 2 extra pieces to extend it to fit our doorway.  So much easier than walking over the one we used to have and I love not having to move it out of the way when we don't need it

Love it!

I bought this to keep my dog out a certain area .Easy to put up only took a few minutes.No tools need just foloowed directions. Having it open two ways helps easy for my grandchildren move from room to room. If you're using it to keep children safe other than my use for it. you   lock the gate at the bottom. I recommend this product .It at a good price also.

Good Dog Control Gate

I love these gates. I cannot attest to the ease of putting them in since one of my Grandsons installed them for me. It took him less than 30 minutes from the time he opened the 3 boxes to the time they were fully installed. They are adjustable as far as the ease in opening

Gates work perfect

I like how easy this was to install. It can be used as a pressure mount (which is how I put it up), or you can screw the wall pads into the wall. Leveling the gate is also very easy if you follow the instructions and do NOT remove the zip tie holding the swing door to the gate until you are done. I love not having to fumble with trying put up/take down a gate when putting my son to bed, or just putting him in his room while I get things done around the house. definitely worth the money!

Easy install

We're pleased with our new gate—it effectively serves its purpose of keeping the new puppy from accessing the upstairs area. It's sturdy and fits our space well. Despite the instructions recommending two extensions for spaces larger than 35 inches, our 36-inch space only needed one extension. The installation process, however, was not enjoyable. It lacked clarity regarding the need to adjust the triangular pieces on the bumpers to secure the gate properly. Although we eventually figured it out, it took us approximately an hour in total. Nevertheless, now that it's installed, the gate works wonderfully for our pup.

We're pleased with our new gate

The gate is just as pictured. Very sturdy and easy to install. I only gave it four stars because the lock is VERY  noisy. To open and close the gate you have to push a button under while simultaneously moving a lock on the top. Both locks are plastic and make tons of friction when you are unlocking them. We bought the gate for upstairs and although it is not next to the kids' bedrooms it has woken up the kids a few times. Regardless, it serves its purpose.

Great purchase but noisy

This gate was my second attempt for confining my dog to an area of the house.  The first gate I purchased fit the wider door opening, but the actual width of the passageway was very small, even for my small frame.  It didnt swing both directions, which I found annoying.  This gate is much better in both regards, though I would like it better if it opened to more than about 135 degrees.  The opening mechanism is a little tricky at first, but it gets easier to manage with one hand after a few tries.  No way a little person would be able to unlatch it.  All in all, Im satisfied with this product.

Good basic gate

Seems pretty sturdy and I like that I don't need an extra tool to tighten the gate to the wall. My only issue is that the tension for the lock requires quite a bit of pressure. I think it's unnecessary because I doubt a young kid would be able to open it. But for the older folk, I think it would be quite a challenge to use that much pressure every time you need to open the gate.

Works at holding my kid 'behind bars'

Within the first week, we started having difficulty releasing the latch.  The adult women in my household struggle to open the gate - it takes both hands.  I'm a big guy, and I struggle to open it, though I can do it with one hand.  Sometimes it takes multiple tries.  

I disassembled the latch - and everything inside is in working order.  Meaning, it operates exactly as it was designed and manufactured. So nothing is broken.  It is just very poorly designed and manufactured.  The internal parts fit loosely, and appear to be made of cheap plastic.  I'm not at all surprised it is hard to open after seeing how the internals operate.  

Ultimately, I removed the secondary safety mechanism.  I'm using it to keep my puppy in the kitchen, and he doesn't have opposable thumbs, so I can do this without risking a child's safety.  I don't recommend this approach to anybody with a child.  If I had a youngster in the home, I'd throw this one away and buy a different brand.
