I just plugged this in last night, and I already have 5 dead bugs in it, at least 1 of which is a mosquito! Yay! I’m going to have to check it everyday, now. No complaints…! Well, maybe 1: it may make my STEM light traps (the other kind they sell at Sam’s) obsolete!

This sucker really works!

Great for gnats, mosquitoes and moths. Flies won’t go in it.

Not bad

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I recently got the STEM flying insects fan trap. I was really skeptical to try another small insect trap, because many don't work. I was pleasantly surprised that this actually caught insects. 

The STEM trap has both a UV light and a fan that sweeps small insects onto a sticky trap at the bottom. I liked that the trap was very easy to assemble and that it came with multiple sticky traps. It also didn't come with any complicated instructions either. The fan isn't very noisy, so you can leave it on in any room without people noticing. It also has a convenient 3-12 hr timer, so I can set it and forget it. Overall, I am very pleased with this device.

Actually catches small insects

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have had this product for 3 days and so far it has caught one nat. To be fair, there has been very little in our kitchen for it to catch. I like that it has settings on how many hours to leave it on and also has different fan speeds. Going to set it out on our patio to see if it’s catches mosquitoes. Will follow up on that later.

It’s worth it if you have a lot of nats.

If you live in an area where you get a lot of flies and gnats, perhaps from your children or guest coming in and out a lot, then it’s a good device to have. Large capacity and can just dump out. Especially if you don’t like touching the sticky pad to remove on the plug in ones often. My home is bright , and flies will tend to go to the window during the day, so this device works best in a dark area of home or ran in the evening hours, so that the blue light attracts them.

Great device for insect infestation

Disappointed

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love the visual appeal of the device. It is easy to maintain and safe as the cables are of a decent length. What it lacks though is in effectiveness as it didn’t trap anything in the one month that I have been using it. It is just a beautiful night light that doesn’t do what it is meant to.

Visually appealing but ineffective

Bought this for my girlfriend after reading reviews and seeing other similar devices online. 

Unfortunately we could not get it to work consistently. The touch or touch-less controls seemed to have a mind of their own. We could not get the device to reliably power on. At one point it did respond to our touch and stayed on only to turn off a few moments later. If we hovered a finger over the controls it would turn on and off or change the timer but not stay on one. Very annoying, never got to see a single bug in the trap. 

Also the fan seemed pretty weak when it was on. It says there's 2 speeds but couldn't get the speed to change with the controls. 

If this had physical buttons it would probably be fine, but the top control surface just didn't work for us. 

Bummer!

Touch controls

This does not work at all! The fan isnt strong enough to capture any flies, gnats, etc. I’m super annoyed & disappointed.
