We bought this to replace a five year old TV that was having HDMI issues. The TV was perfect out of the box, very easy to set up -- why we always buy Roku.  The colors are almost too intense. The picture is crisp and sharp.  Good sound, but we use surround sound anyway.

This Philips 50” Class Roku 4K QLED TV is incredible! It weighed about 20 pounds out of the box and fit perfectly on an existing wall mount. Power it up, download the Roku app, and select which apps and streaming services you want to transfer. Within minutes, set up is complete. The functions are simple to operate and it is easy to navigate between apps or channels. The picture quality is crystal clear and colors are vibrant. The sound is also excellent and it has 4 HDMI ports, which is helpful for connecting multiple gaming devices or other components. The smart TV functionality is what I enjoy most since my previous TV did not have this. I am able to watch all of my favorite streaming services or mirror images from my phone. This is a great feature for sharing photos on a large screen. My husband enjoys watching sporting events and the players look so realistic in 4K. This Philips 50” Class Roku 4K QLED TV has been a welcome addition in our home and I would highly recommend to anyone searching for a new TV! The price point is incredible for such a quality product.

Quick Easy Setup

I don't know much about televisions even after reading all the reviews and researching what is supposedly good and bad. I just know what I see, and this picture looks good and the sound is perfect for our room. the TV does have to be within a certain distance from the router, and that was not clear at purchase time. we are happy with it and very happy with the price we paid.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a great QLED TV for gaming. Playing on my PS5 was crystal clear and kept up with heavy frame rates. Netflix was good as well with a special Dolby mode for movies or shows that support it. Even did a casting comparison with my older Sony LED model, which was much pricey at the time, and quality was equivalent. Roku TV is not my favorite but it gets the job done.

Great for gaming

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Set-up this TV last week in our bedroom. It was easy to unpack. I suggest the user wears gloves to avoid getting fingerprints on the screen when initially unwrapping the TV from the inner packaging. During set-up I had to create a free account on Roku which was easy. It asked me what apps I wanted to add to the TV. Screen prompts on the TV made initial set-up easy once I entered various passwords for my wi-fi and streaming services. Since I was using an antenna and not a cable box it took a few minutes for the TV to scan for channels. It picked up all the same channels I was watching on my previous TV. Once the TV was set-up and I was on the main menu screen, it took me a moment to select my favorite channels via antenna and Roku TV service. I noticed that the remote does not have numbered keys which I was used to from past TVs. But it was not a problem once I figured out how to access the Live TV menu. And the remote is smaller as a result. Easy to scroll through the channels and pick what I wanted to watch. The TV screen is very thin as well as the borders around the viewing portion of the screen. Like it as it provides more viewing area for the size of the TV. The picture is bright and clear on both live and streaming channels. Didn't notice any difference with the picture quality or viewability when the blinds and were open with lots of sunlight or closed. There was no to very little lag time when switching between streaming services, which I like. Only minor glitch I noticed was once when I turned the TV on, it showed the incorrect time. Once I hit the menu button the TV quickly corrected itself to the right time. Hasn't happened again. Overall, I would recommend this TV. The 50" is perfect for our bedroom.

Great features and Quality picture

Bought this tv to replace our 65” 4k Vizio that started going dark on one side after about 5 years. I've never been more disappointed with the display or picture quality on a tv in my life. We have an old Emerson not smart tv, 1080p that has better picture than this. We've tried to update all the picture and display settings as recommended by experts, and it still sucks. The picture is not crisp at all. Text displayed isn't even clear. It looks bootleg. We've tried on cable 4k and several of the built in apps including prime, Disney and Apple. I am so so upset that we now have to unmount this tv, pack it back up, remove car seats from our vehicle, again, drive more than an hour round trip and try to swap it out in hopes of getting something better. Would not recommend this tv at all. The Sam's rep said Phillips generally had better picture quality than Vizio; however, that is clearly not the case here. When I look at the tv it makes me angry and sad. I wish that I could get past the awful picture to avoid a return but it makes me sick looking at it, especially because it is in our great room and the area we frequent to watch tv as a family. We also bought an lg 65” the same day as it was on clearance to replace our bedroom tv and the picture quality is night and day superior. This Phillips is the worst of the 10 TVs we have in our home and most of our other TVs are 10  years old. I also noticed this tv had a 3 year warranty compared to the Vizio in the same price range having a 5 year warranty. This isn't worth the sale price

Poor picture quality/not worth it AT ALL

Do not buy! Won't even turn on after purchasing 3 days ago. Phillips customer service suggested I return to store.  What a huge inconvenience when you have already mounted the tv on the wall and set up.
