Refried beans are a great dish on their own or as a component of a delicious southwest salad or recipe. These should always be a component of a well stocked pantry!

I have tried a lot of different Canned Refried Beans and these are the best. I also make my own and these are a close first to my homemade. The flavor is just right and so is the consistency.

BEST REFRIED CANNED BEANS!

Old ElPaso refried beans. Love the traditional ones. Heat in microwave with 1/3cup water in bowl and 2 finely diced green onions and 1/2 cup Mexican cheese. Awesome side with my Taco’s love it

Old ElPaso Refried Beans are great tasting

I wanted the Rosarita refried beans but they were not in store. However, the old El Paso brand is acceptable

Beans, beans, and more beans !!!

I've been spoiled by using my instapot for home made refried beans.  These will do in a pinch but definitely not as fresh tasting and pretty bland. Ok for combining with chicken or beef for enchiladas but i wouldn't eat them solo without some additional flavoring,  maybe garlic or hot sauce.

Absolutely does not taste the same as "Traditional Refried Beans"  It's label is misleading to say the least. Ingredients contain Bioengineer ingredients or as THEY say "derived from".  It's been a few years since I've had them last but know I know I won't purchase them again. Does not have a good taste anymore.

Dented cans

The can of traditional syle refried Beans, when I opened them it was like refried bean soup. We ended up tossing them out. Lately, every time I buy Old El Paso beans they are watery. The are not like they used to be. They are more water less beans. I don't know if quality control has relaxed or they are just made more cheaply.  I will  definitely try another brand.
