This AC is wonderful. It is quite. It cools as designed and the temperature control feature works as described. The only advertised feature I can not get to work is the ability to control it with my phone. And I control many things with my phone, so I’m not an idiot. Everything else works as advertised. Very good looking, quiet, and effective.

Amazing Air Conditioner

Was unsure about this brand, but reviews were great and it’s a very quiet system, easy to install for a great price. Way better then the one I replaced.

Outstanding AC

So far so good.  We bought this window unit about 5 weeks ago.  Cools well. Looks good.  Easy to use.  Only negative comment is that the light on front showing settings stays on all the time the unit is on.

Good Air Conditioner for Good Price

Super quiet! Got it to replace a U shaped unit when it was recalled. I like this one better to be honest and the price was right.

This inverter AC is noticeably quieter than a typical window AC unit. It cools well and also has a dehumidify function. Very happy with this purchase!

Quiet and cools well

We bought the Midea 8000 BTU window unit to replace the one in our master bedroom. We found it at Sam’s and was the cheapest we could find. It is seriously so quiet! And it cools very well. We’re contemplating if we should get another one just because it’s a great window unit. I would recommend getting one.

Midea 8000 BTU Window Unit

I liked this Inverter Air conditioner so much that I bought more.  I have bought 8,000 BTU and 10,000 BTU and 12,000 BTU units.  They cool and dry the air very well.  The inverter is great!  It lets the unit slow down or speed-up to always provide just the right cooling.

It worked great so I bought more!

This Midea 8,000 BTU Inverter Window Air Conditioner is a true game-changer. What immediately stands out is how incredibly quiet it is—even when running at its highest fan speed, the noise is barely noticeable. This makes a huge difference, especially in a bedroom or home office.

Amazing AC - Quiet & Smart

Bought 4 Midea window units as backup in case of central air failure and long outage due to high heat and humidity in my area.  Installed three of them this month, Aug. 2025, and have not used them yet.  One I put away to install during a long AC outage.  Can't really say how reliable they are, but they do at least look well-built.  You'll have to go to someone who has used one long-term to know about reliability. I wonder about the inverter design.  Should be good when on a generator, as it should not have high peak power draws, as the old compressor units have that sags generators.

Beating the Heat

Very nice, so quiet I forget it’s on. Love that I can control it from my phone, the included remote or the actual ac unit. Can set schedules so you never even have to physically turn it on and off. Have not tried all the different features yet but the actual air conditioning on High Cool is awesome.

Great a.c, super quiet, has tons of features.

Have had to use window a/c units a few years now due to central heat/ac going out and WAY too expensive to fix or replace.  Unfortunately, window units these days just don't last anymore.  Used the Midea brands previously; they work great, for about a year.  Had one or two make it almost to the 2 year mark.  Saw this inverter type and thought, only $10. more, lets try it.  Unfortunately, this one didn't even make it to the 90 day mark.
It's heavy.  I'm 53 but managed to get it installed myself fairly easily.  It worked GREAT!!   It doesn't blow out as strong, not sure if that's normal with inverters(?) compared to a regular unit.  But within a few hours, it had my room cooled down significantly to a comfortable temperature.  My house is a basic 1200 sqft rectangle style.  This went in my main room-family room, unsure on sq ft, but it lowered the humidity and the effects were felt throughout it and into my kitchen area.  
It's very quiet.  The filter was slightly bent on one side when I opened the box.  But it worked.  Cleaned it every other day.  
Walked in the house the other day, and it felt very warm.  Looked it at, blowing out warm air.  Very disappointed.  Shut it off, and heard the dreaded hissing sound of the "gas" running out of it.  Purchased on June 23, 2025, made it till 9/14/2025=83 days.  Fortunately still in that 90 day window, so should just be able to return to Sams.  Also on sale 50. less, but I'm hesitant since it's only about a week left here in the mid south of warmer temps for a/c use.  I'd hate to pull this out of storage next year, just to find it not working.  Also, not sure what was going on with this, obviously a humidity issue, but the water was pooling in the bottom tray under the filter.  It was dripping outside as well.  But I was afraid it was going to overfill and spill out  in the house.  And my electric outlet is right under the window.  And yes, it had the proper angle to it.  Daily I had to absorb it with a paper towel.  Please companies, for what you charge for these things, start making quality a main point.  Back in the day, these things lasted for several years with some focus having them over 10 years, not 1-2.
