Member's Mark USDA Prime Angus Beef Boneless Whole Brisket, Vacuum Pack, priced per pound

Rich Flavor and Versatility
Brisket is a premium cut of beef known for its rich marbling and exceptional flavor. Perfect for year-round enjoyment, this Member's Mark USDA Prime Angus Beef Boneless Whole Brisket, Vacuum Pack, priced per pound offers versatility that makes it ideal for a variety of dishes, including Southern BBQ, global entrees, sandwiches, salads, and more. Whether roasted whole or shredded and sliced, brisket delivers a satisfying culinary experience with 18g of protein per serving.
Perfect for Smoking and Grilling
Take your brisket to the next level by smoking it with aromatic woods like mesquite, apple, or hickory. These flavors complement the natural richness of the beef, creating a memorable dining experience. Finish it on the grill for a smoky, caramelized crust that pairs beautifully with its tender interior.
Cooking Instructions
To unlock the full potential of this brisket, slow cooking at lower temperatures is recommended. This method enhances its tenderness and flavor, making it a standout choice for moist or dry heat preparations. Cook Time Varies: Expect anywhere from 8-14+ hours depending on brisket size and cooking conditions. Tenderness is your true guide. 1. Prep: Trim hard, excess fat to about 1/4 inch thickness. Apply your favorite generous dry rub. 2. Cook Low & Slow (Oven or Smoker)

Maintain a consistent temperature of 225-275°F.

Cook until the internal temperature reaches 200-205°F, and more importantly, a probe slides into the thickest part with minimal resistance (like butter). This tenderness check is crucial.

(Optional) For juiciness/speed, wrap the brisket tightly in butcher paper or foil after 4-6 hours or once a good bark has formed (around 160-170°F internal temp).

3. Rest: Remove from heat and rest the wrapped brisket for at least 1-2 hours (longer is better, up to 4 hours in a cooler). 4. Make Sides (While Brisket Rests):

BBQ Beans: Cook bacon & onion. Stir in beans, BBQ sauce, brown sugar, mustard. Simmer/bake 30 min.

Coleslaw: Whisk mayo, vinegar, sugar, seasonings. Toss with coleslaw mix. Chill 30 min.

Mac & Cheese: Cook pasta. Make cheese sauce with butter, flour, milk, and cheddar. Combine with pasta. Bake 20 min at 375°F (optional).

5. Slice: Separate the flat and point (if applicable). Slice against the grain for both sections for maximum tenderness. Serve with selected sides!
Member’s Mark Made Without Commitment™
This item meets our Member’s Mark Made Without Commitment™: Our Member’s Mark Made Without Commitment makes it easier to know what is not in our products, so members can feel better about what is. Really good piece of prime. Deckle was a little thick but I had them pick out the meet for me to pick up. Made burnt out of the point, ground part of the flat and smoked the other part of the flat. All pieces were exceptional. Great amount of fat for tallow. I will definitely buy again.

Great price, great cut, high quality

My parents agreed with the 5 star review titled "Ignore the Other Reviews! Know Your Product"
BUT for those without a smoker & such honorable expertise... AKA common folk like myself your 1st reaction would be: wow, so much fat, where's the meat? Well, I will cut off the fat & give this liquid gold to my "familia" and keep whatever I leave behind & pressure cook or broil it.

common folk info: loaded with "Liquid Gold"/FAT :)

Excellent brisket! We smoked the flat for BBQ brisket slices. The slices were very tender and moist. The point was used for burnt ends which were very tender and moist and excellent flavor. My husband said they were better than what he’s gotten at the popular BBQ places. Couldn’t have asked for a better piece of beef brisket.

Excellent beef brisket

Sam's club meat is always good. This time i used the pick up option so soneone else picked out my brisket. It was 15 pounds, but when i finished trimming it, i had cut off 59 ounces of fat (yes, i weighed it). I love the meat, bit i won't let them pick it out for me ever again. Lesson learned.

Delicious brisket

This is the first time I did a curbside pickup for brisket. It was very thick on one end and very fatty between layers. Brisket does have fat on the back, but this one was not as meaty. I can only assume the person selecting wasn't familiar with brisket, so lesson learned to pick out my own. Normally the briskets purchased at Sam's Club are very good.

Pick Out Your Own Brisket

Bought 2, one was fantastic. The other, I should get my money back for a piece of meat that cost so much. A brisket is supposed to have a flat and a point. There was no point. It was more like a big flap with no fat on it. My husband trimmed it up and we will have to use the weird part for a stew or something. It was the least fatty, least juicy brisket I’ve ever had.

Disappointed

I've been smoking brisket for 15 years. I recently purchased two prime briskets from Sam's together 43 pounds. After "some" trimming and a 12 hour smoke, yield was less than 10 pounds finished meat. 43% yield means 57% went away with fat. Going to try a local butcher from now on. Meat was tasty but when you're throwing away more than half the product $5.98/lb quickly turns into over $12/lb.

I was totally disappointed with this brisket I ordered a 15 pound brisket and got one that was 12. It was cut so thin in the flat that there was no way to keep it moist long enough to cook the remainder, so it ended up very dry and inedible. Since I order it online I bought it sight unseen. I will never do that again.

Don’t buy online

Definitely NOT PRIME!
I’ve BBQed for over 60 years, I know meat, have processed beef, pork, chicken.
BBQed the two so called prime briskets 11 - 12 hours, horrible - dry, tough.
No marbling. Whoever graded these as prime, I surely don’t know what they were looking at. I was concerned when I took them out of their packaging, major fat cap, no interior marbling.
At best Select. Will not purchase again,

Old Time BBQer

I have bought at least 100 of these briskets. Most I absolutely loved, this however was not good, it was tough and an absurdly large amount of fat. It was almost $150.00 and not good. With all of the previous brisket i have purchased I will of course buy another one in a few weeks. I hope this was a "one off".

Bad "one off"
