We bought this and cut our own steaks and I don’t think we’ll go back to buying pre-cut steaks. The meat is delicious and we saved about 70 bucks doing it this way so that was awesome and it really wasn’t too much work to cut them up and freeze them! I do wish there was a little more fat trimmed before being sold but not enough to remove a star!

Delicious and saves you some money!

Got 14 huge steaks out of it. Wonderful flavor. Leftover pieces and trimmings go into a beef stroganoff.

Cheaper than buying individual steaks.

Will definitely buy again!

It was a lovely cut of beef. I do fairly well on the grill, but this meat seemed a little tough.  It was cut into about 16 steaks. The price went up dramatically since last purchase.

A nice cut

I bought one at 16 pounds and ended up with 3.7 pounds of fat. Honestly it was fun to cut up my own steaks and what not but not worth the time.  I understand Walmart corp buys it by the pound and pushes that measure on to use but darn. We are the end customer and we end up eating all the loss of the buy, resale story. Really stings to know you should expect at least 25% will be fat. Math doesn’t add up. I ended up only saving about $14-20 bucks at best for buying this.

It was ok not as great flavor as others stated. For NY strip it decent price, i got 14 1.5 inch steaks after trimming etc.

I picked this up curbside and neglected to inspect before traveling home.  25% (3  pounds) of the weight was a very large fat cap.  By far, the worst I've ever seen.     It also has a lot of fat throughout.  This was so bad, it seems to be an intentional "thumb on the scales".  In retrospect, I should have returned it but had already opened and began trimming.

Not worth it.  I paid 40 bucks for fat.

Had an abscess in the meat. Very low quality in general. Sam’s used to be the best.

Slipping quality

I received the worst piece of meat I’ve ever gotten from Sam’s Club.

I ordered a strip loin for delivery, and what showed up was extremely flat, very fatty, and had very little usable meat. It honestly didn’t even look like the strip loins I’ve purchased there before.

This was a very disappointing selection for a delivery order, especially for an expensive cut of meat.

Worst Strip Loin I’ve Ever Received

I got this meat and was looking forward to a steak . It had been months that I had one .
I'm very disappointed  in Sam's meat . 
I have got meat from them over 25 years so sad. We even had the butcher bring it out to us .
Sams  doesn't have the quality any more .
We will not be getting any more meat from you . It was so tuff such a waist !!!!
