Member's Mark Grain Free Chicken and Vegetable Recipe, High Protein Dry Dog Food, 28 lbs.

Instructions

What's in this Member's Mark™ High Protein Grain Free† Chicken + Vegetable Recipe? This recipe starts with real chicken and includes nutrient-dense ingredients such as sweet potatoes and whole peas as well as other fruits and vegetables along with added vitamins and minerals for optimal nutrition. What’s not in this Member's Mark High Protein Grain Free Chicken + Vegetable Recipe? This recipe is formulated without grain and has no added corn, soy, wheat as well as no added artificial flavors or colors.† Which Life Stage is this Member's Mark Dog Food recommended for? Member's Mark High Protein Grain Free Chicken + Vegetable Recipe Dry Dog Food is for All Life Stages and can be fed to dogs of any age, size, or breed including puppies and large sized dogs. Where is Member's Mark High Protein Grain Free Chicken + Vegetable Recipe Dry Dog Food made? All Member's Mark Dry Dog Food is made here in the USA with locally and globally sourced ingredients.
Transitioning
How much dry dog food does my pup need? To make it easy to measure out, you can use an 8-oz. container for each cup of food and use the handy guide on the back of the bag with feeding suggestions by weight. Dogs have different calorie requirements based on their age, activity level and lifestyle. Feed to maintain an ideal lean body condition and work with your veterinarian to determine an appropriate weight and adjust feeding amounts as necessary. Remember to keep plenty of fresh water available to your pet at all times. How do I properly transition? Transitions should be gradual, so start by reducing the amount of the current diet and increasing the amount of the new diet for 7-10 days until complete. For dogs with a sensitive stomach, up to 14 days of transition may be necessary. This allows sensitive tummies to adjust to the new ingredients. If you notice their stool become too soft or watery, slow the transition until your dog can adjust. This can sometimes take an additional few days at the current ratio. Days 1-2: 25% New Food Days 3-4: 50% New Food Days 5-6: 75% New Food Days 7-10: 100% New Food How long will the food last once I have opened the bag? After opening, dry dog food typically lasts up to 6-8 weeks. To support prolonged freshness, you may place the bag in an air-tight, food-safe storage container. Always store in a cool, dry place and avoid excess heat or moisture.
FAQ
My dog just threw up after eating? Many dogs may have sensitive tummies during transitions and others just get so excited over their new food that they eat too quickly. Make sure to follow the longer transition and feeding guidelines to ease the change. However, please contact your veterinarian about any major concerns. I noticed my dog’s stool looks different? When transitioning foods, it is normal to have some changes in your pup’s stool. Some dogs may get diarrhea due to a fast transition. Others may have softer or larger stools or the color may be different. Make sure to follow the longer transition time to ease the change. Over time your dog’s stool quality should improve as they adjust to the new diet. However, please contact your veterinarian about any major concerns. How do probiotics and prebiotic fiber improve kibble? Prebiotics are specialized types of fiber that move through the digestive tract, creating energy for the good bacteria in your dog’s gut. This can help the beneficial gut bacteria thrive. Probiotics are the beneficial bacteria that help maintain the proper balance of bacteria in the digestive tract and support the digestion process, and more. Prebiotic fiber and probiotics work together to support a healthy gut microbiome. Keep in mind that while probiotics are beneficial, some dogs may experience fleeting digestive changes such as loose stools or gas when first receiving probiotics in their diet, but this should improve as they adjust just like we humans do! What is Grain-Free? Grain-free simply means that the recipe does not have any added Wheat, Corn, Rice, Oats, Barley, Rye, or Soy. However, dogs still need carbohydrates for energy, so our grain-free formulas offer healthy carbohydrate alternatives such as sweet potato, whole peas, or chickpeas. Why offer grain-free alternatives? While healthy grains can be great for many dogs, some dogs may have allergies or just a sensitive tummy that does not like grains. Questions or Comments? We purchased the Member’s Mark Chicken and Vegetable recipe for Tyson our Cane Corso and he absolutely loves it. We began with the Salmon flavor and moved to the chicken shortly after and we are glad we did. We used to purchase our dog food from a competitor and the quality and value was not as good. I would highly recommend.

Tyson’s favorite food

I just switched my dogs to this food, since the brand I was buying is no longer sold at Sam’s. It smells and looks fresh and most of all my dogs switched to it with no hesitation. It has similar ingredients to what they were eating so that helped too. But overall they really like this food. And they are quite picky about their food.

MM grain free chicken & vegetable dog food

I love to feed my dog the Members Mark brand food. It has everything my dog needs. Waiting on the salmon version to return. And hopefully all the Members Mark food return to my local Sams club.

Members Mark dog food.

This is rated very well for dog food; however, this is not available very often. This & the lamb is always out of stock or low! Why???Please order more to have in stock.

Good Foo But Not Always Available

Great dog food! Better than Blue Buffalo. It’s wonderful that the Member’s Mark dog food is mainly chicken. My daughter had picked up Blue Buffalo thinking it was good but it turned out to have oatmeal which our dogs ended up being allergic to. Oatmeal sounds more like a filler that wreaks havoc on our dogs’ intestines. However, they never had a problem with the Member’s Mark dogfood and love the chicken flavored.

Better than pricey brand name dogfood

Would have given 5 stars if they brought back blue bag package. Great kibble, my dogs love it. Good on their tummies too, way better then the competition. Wish y'all would switch bag to the slide & close bag though. The blue package open & close far the best! I literally have to transfer new bags into the blue bag that i luckily saved, i get you had to change because it looks like BLUE, but bring back the old opening.

Great food in a terrible bag

I started using this dog food 6 months ago and my dogs (3) liked it and it was good quality. However last 6 weeks it’s been in and out of stock. If u sell pet food you need to consistently keep it in stock! Switching food every 2 weeks is not happening! So
I’ve gone to another brand at another store!!

Not always available

We usually buy this dog food but our dog got so sick after eating this that I threw the bag away. It wasn’t worth the risk. This time it had a strange smell. He was sick after eating it four days straight. So after we stop feeding it to him and switched food along with some pumpkin to heal his stomach problems he stopped being sick. After years of purchasing this brand now I am afraid to buy it again.

Be cautious

Something has changed in the formula as well as the size of the bags that are available at Sam’s club. We used to get the larger bags. Since we have been getting the smaller bags, the only ones available, our dogs have started getting sick. We had started by making sure they didn’t get into anything and it has come down to the change in food. I am not sure what they did but will not be purchasing any more.

Something changed

I have 2 dogs who typically eat the salmon version but our locals Sam's Club was out so we had to go with Chicken. One dog at the bowl threw up then went 4 days without eating. Mind you this dog will eat anything literally trash if you gave him the option. Had terrible gas and wouldn't even look at his bowl. The other dog was fine for about 2 days then puked nonstop. Then same thing gassy and went a day without eating. At this point we knew something was wrong. One quick google search showed this is a very common theme. They checked every box that was warned. STAY AWAY FROM THIS FOOD. I ended up going back and found a bag of the normal salmon one and immediately both dogs ran to their dish. I don't know what is going on with this but again don't feed your dog this
