Definitely a great buy. I put it together in about five minutes, easy to operate super quiet. I never usually have to turn it past five and it has 12 different speed settings. Love the remote control and the timer. I would definitely buy again.  great quality great product.

Highly Recommended Fan

The Lasko 18" Pedestal Fan was a replacement for a 20" Lasko Pedestal Fan that I had used for over 8 years. It was damaged during my move, so I researched other fans. I was hesitant that the 18" wouldn't provide the power that my old fan had, but I was wrong. This fan has 12 speeds, oscillates, has a timer, adjustable height, and a remote. It is truly an awesome fan for the money. I'm sure I'll have it for another 8-10 years. It was also easy to put together, and is easy to take apart to clean the fan blades.

Great Fan for the Money

Lasko makes a great product -- I have 4 of their fans -- and I was (if you'll excuse the pun) blown away with this model.   I've bought many a floor fan in my day and none have met my expectations until now.  The fan, in my opinion, is attractive (as attractive as a floor fan can get?), very quiet, has a remote and is easy to operate.  Assembly was easy as well.  I was so impressed with this model I went to Sam's and bought another one while they were still available.  Trust me, you can't go wrong with this fan.

my only dislikes about his fan is it seems to point up instead of straight. lowering the height of the fan will help this a bit. second is the remote as the buttons are one big flat button it is hard to change fans speeds at night without a light on. other than those two problems i love it. i have had 12 speed fans for a few years and can't see myself going back.

This fan is exactly what I wanted!  Moves a good volume of air, easy to operate with added remote and compact design is bonus! Going to purchase another one!

Great Fan

Love this fan! Puts off great amount of air for the room and I love the remote it comes with and ability to change the fan speed all the way up to 12 levels. The only reason for 4 stars is the light on the fan that shows the speed is very bright at night in our room so we had to use something to cover up the light. Wish that feature would dim or go away after a few seconds.

I’ve always had Lasko fans so this time I wanted to buy thier best model. But I quickly returned this fan because:

1) The fan spin is unbalanced and causes the fan to wobble / shake. I reassembled the fan a few times to make sure that it was put together right. But the fan plastic blade assembly is not symmetrical, so the fan spins with a wobble which drove me crazy.

2) Other Lasko fans power on to the LOW setting,  but this fan powers on to the HIGH setting, meaning every time the fan is powered on, I would have to lower the fan speed manually. Additionally, there are 12 fan speeds on this model, not 3, so turning it down to say speed 4 from 12 takes time effort and concentration each power on.

3) This fan is made with thinner / lighter plastics and metal rods than a standard Lasko fan to be more “eco”. The plastic had epoxy strings still on it and the fan was so light that it contributed to the unbalanced shaking.

4) The fan is indeed very quiet compared to the other Lasko fans. However it was so quiet that I actually enjoy white noise in the bedroom… but it was too quiet and I actually wanted more white noise.

I went back to the lower model 3 speed fan which is stable without wobble, powers on to Low, and has a nice sound

Poor quality, especial the plastic grill, it is not only rough but also does fit because distortion of the back grill.
Remote control is weak, it work around 20 degree less.
Package is more terrible, retail box look like refurbished (or it was refurbished) with only dark ink on the bare brown carton box, no color or cover to prevent water penetration into the box surface.
The fan shakes when running can can see clearly at its grill.
It is said that the fan made in USA but with poor quality I don't think so.

I don't recommend this fan to any people.

This Lasko fan is the worst one I've purchased so far. I have purchased 3 others in the past. The pole on this does not attach it sets in the base and if it needs moved you have to do it in 2 parts. The top and bottom, when I turn it on it starts up at the highest speed of 12 and I have to adjust it every time. It does have a high velocity and oscillates well. The remote is not user friendly. It is completely flat and I have to look at it everytime I use it to adjust the speed or oscillation or power. I would not purchase this variety again.
