Good laundry

This is my first LG appliance which I bought as a set with the washer, as I had been using the competitors product for the past 17 years. Pleased with my purchase so far. I am still trying to figure out the options and would really appreciate if there were a hard copy operating configurations.

Pleased with purchase

This dryer works great as per specs. Clothes are dry when selected cycle is finished. No duct issues or faults (per some other reviews) as we have a short rigid duct. But.... when we stacked this dryer washer combo and found the cord too short, had to purchase a ULC certified extension cord contrary to dryer install instructions. I would think that if LG advertised "stackable" they should at least supply cord that reaches the floor when stacked ( our plug is at the base board) this is why i gave it a 4 star instead of a 5 star review

Good dryer

Was easy to setup.  Couldn't get the test to work, but no matter.  I don't use the dryer, my wife does and she seems happy with it.

Dryer setup and first impressions

The drier is easy to operate. It is versatile and does great job of drying clothes. 
One draw back is that the filter lets too much lint pass into the vent and I have had to clean the exterior exhaust vent more frequently than the previous drier.

Machine is nice and quiet running. Can't get it to fully dry clothes on energy saving normal setting with sensor. Can't figure out how to run the cycle longer or just run a hot air cycle for a few minutes.

DLE3400W

I would NOT recommend this dryer for anyone who lives in an apartment or other place where the noise would bother anyone.
The dryer dries quite well, though I have to manually set it for "maximum dry" every time (why can't it remember that for me??), but it makes an awful noise that echos through the floor to the adjacent downstairs apartment: the drum has a bad weld on its seam, and each time that passes over the rollers it makes a thumping noise. LG sent a tech to help, but despite taking the machine apart he couldn't fix it (would not replace the drum with one that had no bad seam). Not all LG dryers have this fault .. my daughter's same model is silent, for example, and I'm very disappointed that LG won't fix mine .. pathetic warranty service!!
