I needed to replace an old wash machine in my new home. Having previously owned an LG top load machine with good results and based on good reviews in my research, I decided on getting the LG WM3400CW front load wash machine.
I have been using my new machine for just over a week.
It is important to note that on my first large normal load, I discovered what appeared to be a 'leak' at the rear bottom of the machine (straight below the drain hose). After some research, I discovered this 'leak' can be the result of using too much detergent. I learned all you need to use for a front load washer is max 2 TBSP of HE liquid detergent for a large load and 1 TBSP for a small to medium load. Do not use your detergent cap as a guide! Since reducing the amount of detergent, I have not had any issues.
Lesson learned, I am pleased with the wash machine - I like the fact it has many cycle options to customize my wash while it uses less water. I hope to use this wash machine for many years to come!

Great washer. Washes clothes as is should. Clothes come out clean and well spun out. Quiet, no louder or quieter than our last front load. Simple and basic controls, we didn't want any too complex  to do laundry. Great budget friendly washer with stackable dryer set.

Great Washer for the money

Works great.  Our old washer lasted +17 years.  I hope we can at least get 10 out of this washer.  They don't build them like they used to.  Manufacturing has gone to a disposible culture.

Both new machines seem to work beautifully.
One month since purchase.

We did find the instruction booklets fairly vague.  Missing a description of dials and parts for example.  But we figured them out.

Washer and Dryer

After less than a week, the washer is great, it’s working as expected. Something we miss from our previous washer (also an LG) is knowing how long each cycle will take when you’re setting it - you don’t find out the length of time until after you’ve chosen a setting and it’s run for a couple of minutes. We’re still figuring out how to reduce the cleaning time.

Great, though cycle lengths aren’t apparent

I’ve only used the washer twice, but I am satisfied with my washer. There is one thing I would change, is that you would have the option to use cold water on the normal wash cycle. Set up was relatively easy and it only took me a few minutes to figure out how to use the washer after checking with the app manual for details.

Purchased a washer/dryer in white, when they arrived the washer was a different shade of white compared to the dryer, very noticeable.  Now we have to go thru all the inconvenience of replacing them, very annoying.

My previous LG washer lasted almost 20 years, however I am disappointed with this new model as i am already getting error codes on a machine that is less than 1 month old.

I bought this on the 4th of July and today 8-8-20 is the first time using it. This washer is awful is like jet taking off. It destroyed part of the laminated floor. It shakes like a blender...please don’t buy this washer.

The worst nightmare of the washers!

Soon after buying this washer I was noticing an orange-brown stain on some of my white items. It looked like dried blood but did not recall the stains before putting the items in the wash. I frinally noticed a rust spot on the washing machine dryer and concluded that my realatively "new" washer has some internal part that was rusting and staining my clothing.

Gettting it fixed has been another nightmare.
