I purchased this microwave due to the extra vents. They are effective when cooking smells need removal however the normal 2 vents work well for normal need

Looks awaesome and has useful features like sensor reheat and an easy to use defrost menu that actually defrosts without cooking the food. The exhaust fan can be extended for extra coverage of the cooktop below. Works well with an LG range - the range sends a signal when the cooktop turns on and it turns on the lights and exhaust fan.

The LG above the range microwave oven is a nice improvement to my kitchen. The extendable exhaust hood makes a difference when cooking to exhaust food odors out of the house. The one major room for improvement related to installation is to replace the paper template with a rigid template such as a cardboard template. I had to use wood filler on the drilled cabinet holes due to the template not being accurate.

This microwave is beautiful to look at, very high-tech in appearance. The only thing that shows up on the black door is the time.  When you open the door, the menu lights up on the door and there is also one posted inside the microwave.  After you're finished with the microwave or the light fixture, these options on the door turn off again.  There are so many features on this unit that I haven't had the time to experiment with many of them, but so far every feature I have used has been easy.  The only negative I can mention is that when I want to turn on the light that shines over the range, I have to open the microwave door in order for the light options to appear.  The options stay lit until I turn off the over-the-range light.  I just wish there was an option on the front of the microwave door to turn the light on without having to open the door each time.  Other than this minor issue I absolutely love my new microwave.

This microwave replaced our 12 year old appliance and we immediately noticed the changes. It is easy to use, the controls are user friendly, and the heat seems to be much more even than our old one. We especially like the LED light that won’t burn out!  A welcome upgrade!

Big improvement

I needed to replace our "over the range microwave vent hood" and searched out several different brands and decided to purchase this LG model.  The extend a vent is really what caught our attention as it could possibly help keep steam from rising up onto our cabinets above. So far it has worked great. 
The only recommendation I have is to print the mounting diagram on heavier weight paper. It was very difficult for one person to hold flimsy paper and tape it in location for the mounting holes. Possibly print it on the cardboard box if you could.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Haven’t had it long and still learning its operation. So far so good. My husband loves the look and easy access to what he needs. A lot of options to choose from and looking forward to using them all.

Everything is working great

I like the sleek design and control panel being hidden. However, I hate when you have to press a few times to hit a "butt9n" in order for the panel to appear. It might be operator error. With having two kids I also didn't think about all the fingerprints so it's constantly being cleaned.

I bought this in May and 3 months later it stopped working.  No power at all.  I'm am electrician so i know it wasn't the outlet.  I performed the factory reset and it did nothing to rectify the issue.  I called and after they were convinced it wasn't going to be fixed over the phone,  they scheduled me a month out for a repairman to come out and look at it.  Being that he won't be here until Oct 5th, i can not tell you the outcome of this situation. Other than that, I love the microwave.  Great design.  Very upscale feel.
