I bought this as part of a bundle of appliances for our new house.  Had to call back for them to relabel when they installed.  Since then I have been getting sawdust on the range top every time I open and close the door.  It is getting less over time.  It was installed on June 15th.  Otherwise I really like the microwave.

So happy that I went with a LG microwave.  Efficient and easy to keep clean.  Fingerprints don't show up on this model's finish.  The melodious  signal sound when it is done cooking is so much more pleasant than most other screaming beeps of other microwave brands.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] About a month ago, my husband and I decided to buy all LG products for our new kitchen remodel, and let me tell you… TOTALLY WORTH IT! The over the range microwave is our favorite. He absolutely loves the design, the quick cook buttons, and all the features it has to offer! We also enjoy the notifications we receive every time we use the appliance and how we can go on the app and review the features there and receive any diagnostic things!

Best microwave, HANDS DOWN!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Functionally it is fine, MY only complaint is there is a 50 watt halogen light under the microwave to light up the range cook top.  When that light is used as a night light, it heats up the inside of the microwave bottom.  There is only one size LED with the right length of pins, HOWEVER being its shape is live a flat disc.  In order to fit in the space allocated, it would be necessary to modify the plastic space in the one end of the light location.  I was told that would void the warrantee.  Being a journeyman eletrician, the modification would take 5 minutes and in my professional opinion would not affect the functionality of the appliance!

one issue

There is so much wrong with this microwave, where do I begin:  1.  There are no backlights behind the touch controls so you always have to have your kitchen light on to see them  2.  The controls are so nonsensical that we are constantly reading the manual that came with the Microwave.  3.  It plays a very long annoying tune at the end of almost all functions.  The tune is loud, nothing quiet about this Microwave.  4.  I have never, ever, had to read an appliances manual so often and for so long!   They make no sense at all.  For example, you have to press the 8 on the Microwave to select the Power Levels.  Now how would one ever guess that?!  I constantly have the Owners Manual on the Kitchen Counter because you always need it!  Very non intuitive controls.  You can rarely hit the right button without reading the Manual!  Whoever configured this should have his/her parents or grandparents to try to use it.  We are ready to just throw this away and buy another.   We will never again buy another without first reading the Manual and seeing if we can actually use it without constant reference to the Manual.   Very poorly configured.

Controls are way too complicated

The handle cracked, it thumps spinning counter clockwise all within 3 months. Sounds can be turned off but not separated so timer makes no noise if you turn off beep. Should have removal filter on the top vent above the door.

Skip this one

It seems a few manufacturers can't make Microwave ovens reliable. Like others, my LG is just over a year old and it failed last week. All the fuss these days about Carbon footprints and we make appliances that don't last.

LG Microwave

Purchased on 16 January 2025, Sam’s Club installed after a four-week delay by the contractor. 
Worked fine until 23 January 2026. Failed with a loud buzz, and went dead.
The purchase date applies to the warranty, not the install date. No help from LG Electronics.
Microwave died on 23 January, seven days past the warranty.
Now looking for a new microwave, LG is NOT on the list.

I would not recommend purchasing this product.
