I cook some fresh potatoes and use the potato water, and add difference in the extra water needed to mix in the instant potatoes. I add extra butter on top and in the middle, it is very good. I also add some salt fot the fresh potatoes in the water when i cool those, I use red skin potatoes and cut them in larger diced pieces, so when i smash them the skin is in the dish.

Good quality

These are a pantry staple for us. So quick to make to round out a meal. I heat the water and milk in the microwave, add the butter and stir in the potatoes. Let sit a couple minutes and add a touch more milk if they are too stiff. Way better value than the small packages you can buy and they keep very well in pantry, even after opening the carton.

Good value and good taste

Always good to keep around, I keep them at the house for when I want some mashed potatoes. Once a year I make enough for 200 people for our Church Thanksgiving dinner, glad I have a commercial oven at the house, I made two big steam pans 17 pounds each of mashed potatoes for a total of 34 pounds

Always good to have

The Idahoan PREMIUM are great and I actually got them this time. Last time I ordered them, I got the Idahoan Buttery. They were in a similarly colored box, so it was an easily understood mistake that could be just as easily avoided by using your eyes. The Buttery tastes more like cardboard, like most instant these days. I picked up the Premium on a whim at Costco one time and they are sooo much better, more like they all used to be. They are about $9 less expensive at Costco,  though.

These are exactly like homemade mashed potatoes. You don’t have to peel potatoes to get that homemade taste. Very delicious and everywhere I take them I get compliments on my mashed potatoes. Very easy to make and directions are on the box. I add butter, cream and sour cream to mine but you can add what you like to make them your signature mashed potatoes.

For some reason, Idahoan real premium mashed potatoes from Sam's is different than from other stores.  I pick these, every time!

The perfect side dish

My grandson loves this so does my husband that’s why I buy this. Sometimes I eat this during special occasions, but it’s not very good for my diet.

Quick and easy to prepare. Great taste when seasoned properly. No worry about potatoes going bad is not used in time.

This is NOT the same as the pitches where you just add water!
I read description online and purchased in club. I will be returning this. It has the same instructions as the brown box in the comparison photo! It says on package to Add MILK , BUTTER and water. NOT JUST WATER!
