HOVERAir X1 Self-Flying Camera Drone with HOVERCare Pro

Instructions

<p>At a moment's notice, you can easily capture dynamic professional-quality videos and images with the HOVERAir X1 Self-Flying Camera Drone. Ease of use is at the core of the X1, with its compact, foldable design, 3-second palm takeoff, and automatic self-flying flight modes. A triple stabilization system helps to ensure the videos you capture are smooth and shake-free. Those smooth images are captured by the built-in gimbal camera that can snap 12MP stills or record Ultra HD 2.7K HDR videos. They're saved on the X1's 32GB of built-in storage but can be easily downloaded and shared with the Hover X1 mobile app.</p> <h3>Multiple Intelligent Flight Paths</h3> <p>By selecting a mode and pressing a button, X1 will take off and fly by itself. You can capture the moment while staying in the moment. Have fun playing the lead in your own video.</p> <p>Hover: Hover mode, frames the user from a static position, preferred for hand free selfies or group photos.</p> <p>Follow: Follow mode can follow you from the front or back up to 15 mph. Robust computer vision algorithms keep you centered in the frame.</p> <p>Orbit: Orbit mode orbits steadily around the user, ideal for showcasing a location or object like your new home, car, or even a new puppy.</p> <p>Zoom out: Zoom Out mode gradually includes more of the surrounding for dramatic effect, ideal for capturing the vibe of parties, camping, or backyard barbecues.</p> <p>Bird Eye: Bird’s Eye mode captures overhead views with just one click, giving you a unique overview.</p> <h3>3-second Palm Takeoff</h3> <p>Operating the HOVERAir X1 self-flying camera is simple and user-friendly. The camera drone takes off from your palm with one click, making it easy for everyone.</p> <h3>Amazing Shooting</h3> <p>The triple stabilization system ensures smooth video effects and excellent fast motion capturing capability, easily recording beautiful moments during hikes or journeys.</p> <h3>Portability Redefined</h3> <p>Weighing a mere 125g (4.41oz), lighter than an iPhone and exempt from the hassle of FAA registration.</p> <h3>Smart App Control</h3> <p>With the HOVERAir App, you can easily customize a wide range of settings, from flight height and distance to vertical shooting, as well as resolution. You can also wirelessly download the videos you've shot — both simple and fast. Moreover, our global user community is available within the app, where you can post and celebrate the wonderful moments. As part of your bundle, HoverCare comes pre-activated on your device. As you set up your camera it will activate your subscription - no need for you to do anything.</p> <h3>Get the Support You Need</h3> <p>For any product related questions, please contact support@hoverair.com.</p> <h3>Enjoy complimentary Apple Service Trials with this purchase.</h3> <p>Redemption instructions will be emailed post purchase. This is my second drone but the first from Sam's because it was way cheaper than elsewhere. Setup was simple through the app. It does everything it says it does

This review contains a three-start rating only because Sam's Club did not provide me with any way to activate HoverCare (insurance) for the drone, which covers repairs for damage and a replacement in case you lose the drone during flight operations (fly-away). To activate the care service you need your drone's Serial Number and an activation code, which did not come in the box and I also did not receive it by email from Sam's Club. After I contacted support at Sam's Club trying to obtain the activation code, the agent was kind but their response was: "providing a code is out of our jurisdiction, please contact them." Save your money and your time and buy the drone somewhere else.
The drone itself is light, durable (I already dropped it a few times from eye-level height and it barely had a scratch). When you fly the drone using the app, the phone's microphone records sound while the drone is recording video, which is useful to record conversations, and the app automatically adds the sound to the video, making it simple and easy to share the video on social media. It takes off from your hand and follows the path that you indicate, and it then it returns and lands back on your hand. The battery only lasts around 10 minutes so be sure to keep that in mind as well.

Great drone, bad Sam's Club experience.
