For Apartments

Great vacuum!!! I have been using my old corded Hoover upright for years and decided I need to upgrade. I love my Dyson V8. It is amazing! It is so light and has great suction and holds the charge for me to do my entire 2 bedroom apartment. Emptying the bin is a snap. It charges up very quickly. Thanks Dyson, for making a fantastic vacuum!!!

Great vacuum!!!

Dyson

We needed a new vacuum badly and had heard good things about the Dyson, we were still blown away our first time using it. It sucked up an astonishing amount from our rugs, it made a very visible difference. Easy to maneuver, pretty lightweight, seems to have a good battery life, no complaints.

Exceeded Expectations

If you have owned any other Dyson product, this vacuum aligns with the quality and ease of use you would expect. The reduced price that I was able to secure made me feel even better about the purchase. I would highly recommend this device for ease of use and a quick option to clean up a messy situation

Awesome device

Works great for carpet and linoleum. Not for hardwood floors. The wheels make a terrible sound on hardwood and it seems the hard bristles will scratch the floor. They make a soft bristle head you have to buy separately for hardwood floors and it's not a cheap part.

Suction is great. It's very lightweight. Dock is easy to use. Emptying is so easy. Just pull up on the top and the bottom falls out. Unit doesn't stand upright on it's own though because all the weight is in the handle.

Comes with a floor head, a wand and a crevice tool. Has 3 suction modes. I use it on the lowest setting and have no problems with suction. I do wish it saved my setting though because it powers on at medium always.

The head swivels so it's very maneuverable. I have a clunky upright and this seems to work just as well.

Awesome but NOT for hardwood

The vacuum is heavier than the older V8 Animal model. I haven't figured a reason to use the third power level offer by the unit. Suction power is great on low and high levels. The vacuum's brush unit does not work on thicker carpers, and may need a different brush for cleaning thicker carpets. Overall the vacuum is good for whole house vacuuming on tile and carpet floors.

Good Vacuum but

I love the ease of using this lightweight vacuum. It's great on my wood , LVT and carpet.
It is not easy to clean the dust from the machine head . I took the brush out and still couldn't clean the plastic covering . Having such a nice machine would be nice to be able to keep it looking nice.

Machine great Cleaning it not so good

I have had Dyson stick vacuums before, still have my first one, which is great though the battery only lasts about 10 minutes now. Anyway, the new one is nice, pretty good run time. But I prefer to have the on/off switch under my finger so I can use it with one hand while I do something with the other. Also, it doesn't seem like the head is as solid as the older ones. The rotating brush stops quicker than my old vac, and the head doesn't seem as heavy.

Good, but . . .

We purchased our best unit a few weeks ago and are still learning how to best use it in our new home. We have had our Dyson Ball for over 15 years and, after keeping it well-maintained all those years, it has lost most of its suction. So we decided it wise to try a new stick vacuum that is a lot lighter and battery-operated for flexibility & better ergonomics. We love it, so far, and use it more because of its flexibility. I hope to find a smaller attachment that will add to its flexibility. I hope I can still get another battery and additional attachment and save with the 20% discount for new purchases. Dyson is pretty expensive but well-design and durable.

We are always amazed at how efficiently the power & filtration picks up even the smallest powdery dust.

High Quality Design & Construction

I recently bought the Dyson VA Cyclone because I wanted a cordless vacuum. The one thing I found that I'm not thrilled with is that the motor is attached right up on the top of the handle, and when I vacuum it becomes very heavy feeling and my hand gets tired and sore. I think it would have been better if the motor were lower down.

Top of handle with motor is heavy

This worked okay while it lasted but it went dead after 4 months. I was never impressed with the quality of the unit it felt really flimsy especially when you pull up the metal filter to clean it out. We took it back to Sam's Club since it wasn't working and traded it for the quarter unit with the big ball on the bottom also made by Dyson but it's so heavy my wife can barely push it. Our next vacuum will not be made by Dyson.
