Big pan. Like that it's deep.
The finish is already showing signs of age and have only been using it for approximately 6 months. Something to consider...

I knew I would really like this pan, but I never knew how much I would love love love this pan. If you are a home cook who knows precisely what they're doing and craves that authentic wok flavor and seer but can't seem to get it, buy this pan. Just do it, you won't regret it. This is what you've been waiting for, especially if you have electric. It delivers exactly. The search is over. Period, the end.

Home Chef, Meet Restaurant Wok

This pan requires a new way to cook. And even though the directions were hard to read, it's best to follow them.

Light weight, iron skillet efficiency

Gave them as a gift to my daughter who is planning to get an indiction range and she loves this set of pans. They are super easy to clean and nothing sticks to them. Highly recommend! I have the smaller one and absolutely love it!!

Great pans!

This was the best gift this Christmas. I bought it for my son, who is a great cook. He loves it, saying that it is outstanding for his various favorites.

Best gift ever

Good size/shape for a lot more than Paella - I use it for sauteing and stir frys. Makes meal prep simple. Will try it next on steaks and see if it can replace a heavy cast iron for me.

Solid piece

I recently was given several options for a 15 year performance gift at my work. After looking through several pages of kitchen tools, backyard accessories, and pocket knives, I found this 12" carbon steel frypan. I've been thinking about trying carbon steel cookware for a little while, and this seemed like a great opportunity to try it out. Upon receipt, I cleaned it inside and out with warm water and a mild soap, then heated it up with some oil and some potatoes (recommended by a YouTube video. not sure it did anything). In the last three weeks, the only time I've removed the pan from my cooktop is to run a little warm water and wipe it clean. I've cooked steaks, eggs (fried and scrambled), chicken thighs, spaghetti sauce, browned sausage and chicken for a gumbo, made a few bags of ramen noodles with chicken and eggs, made French Toast, and baked a deep dish pizza. This pan is fantastic. It really gets the results of cast iron and stainless steel in one versatile pan. I'm not a professional cook by any measure, but I love cooking and experimenting in the kitchen. I'm also impressed at the results it gets on the horrible electric stove in our temporary apartment. Can't wait to try it out on a proper cooktop when our house is ready. To be honest, I was getting this just to try out the material to see if I liked cooking on carbon steel. I expected this pan to be a little bit cheaper quality, but thought if I liked the material I could always upgrade to the Made In version. This pan is sturdy, has a nice weight, and really does handle everything I throw at it. If anything ever happened to it I would definitely buy another.

My new go-to pan for everything

The Bobby Flay carbon steel frypan is a reliable sturdy lightweight pan for everyday use. It's great for dishes that start on the stovetop and finish in the oven or under the broiler since it is safe up to 600 degrees. It was preconditioned so no food sticking on the first use. I do wish it had a smoother handle finish for comfort, but this is a minor quibble.

A workhorse pan for regular use

ok but I have used better. It could have had a lid.

I like it over all, but frying eggs stick and I've turned the heat at the lowest and use plenty of olive oil. Is there a reason for this
