Great kit.  When I was young and in Boy Scouts I took an interest in leathercraft, even making some of my own stamps out of nails.  This kit is a comprehensive package, with stamps, mallet, dyes, a cutter, some leather to work, and stencils for patterns.  I was getting it for a 12 yo's birthday present and think it will inspire creativity far more than some electronic gizmo.

Great starter kit for leather working. My daughter just started her leather working in art class and this is a great starter kit with the tools required to start tinkering with; in addition its not too bad on the price.

Hubby mentioned wanting a Leather Craft set, so I ordered this one. Even though he hasn't used it yet, it looks like a good set. Can't wait until he tries it out.

Great starter kit!

It was a birthday gift for my adult brother. He saw it online and asked for it to replace a Tandy kit he lost during a move. If he's happy with it, so am I.

Gift as requested

It's nice to have a full set of stamp letters %26 numbers but they're so close together it's difficult to stamp a number without making other marks on the leather. Probably it would be best for a new user to cut each row of characters so you only have to worry about a single row of side marks. Also the instructions were so tiny I had to use a magnifying app to read them.  Other than that I was able to create a couple items right away and stain them without a lot of effort.

Easy Starter Kit with Small Issues

With the tools that can be kept to use over and over, this seems like a great bargain.  I haven't decided which designs I want to use so I haven't started marking my items.  I'm also wondering if I can make my own template or pattern to trace onto the leather.  But, the leather is a good weight and I like that the kit includes practice pieces.  This should be cool - lots of fun.  I hope it is easy but I'm not certain about that.

Cool Leather Kit

Christmas present for 12 year old grandson. He sat right down and made me a bookmark! Only 4 stars because the cord is very thick and hard to maneuver.

Was looking forward to getting this but got it and everything is made cheaply everything especially the leather.  Just starting out and this product discouraging  me from getting into leather work.
