We had looked at numerous generators over the past few months.  Of the several that we narrowed our list down to, the Westinghouse WGen9500TFc came out the winner.  We like the tri fuel option and the fact that we can run it off of one of our grill propane tanks in case we can't get gas. The unit came with everything needed to get it up and running including engine oil and hoses to connect to propane or natural gas.  The remote start is a plus.  If using this on job sites, this feature can come in handy if working on roofs or up on ladders. You can start and stop the unit as needed without having to climb down.  There are plenty of power choice options - (4) 20 amp (1) 30 amp and (1) 50 amp outlets. The noise level is standard for a generator of this size. The generator also has a display that shows the output voltage, run time and several other useful screens plus any error codes.

A Great Generator For The Price

Excellent generator so far! I unboxed unit immediately and prepped for operation. I built a 50amp cord to connect to my manual transfer switch. I ran it on propane with no load for about 30 minutes. I then slowly added load until I had my entire house connected. It runs everything in my 3000+ sqft home, including the AC. It bogged down when compressor kicked on, but immediately recovered. I turned on every light (allLED’s), tv’s, microwave, etc. I also have the refrigerator and a full size freezer. Everything worked perfectly as I ran entire house on generator for 45 mins. I did not try to dry clothes or use the electric oven, but I’m sure they wouldn’t be a problem if I’m conscience about using during a storm. I also test ran on natural gas without load and it ran perfectly. I plan on installing a soft start on my AC unit before running on NG with load. I only plan on using gasoline as a last resort, so I’m not going to put any gas in it unless I need to. This will prevent any “gumming” up or fuel issues while in storage.
Also, the hose did not come with everything I needed to connect to NG. I added a quick connect on to my existing NG line on the side of my home. I needed a 1/2” 45deg tapered  male  to 1/2” standard female adapter to complete the hose quick connect.

Using as Whole Home generator.

I found this generators easy to setup and use. I have never had a generator before . I live the remote start which started very easy.  So far I am very happy with my purchase. I like all the safety features it includes. I like the  option of having three fuel types. I also like option of hooking to my home electrical system.

Works like a champ

Great generator

Delivered early and fast (5-6 days).  Great shipping company coordination and friendly communications. In tact and undamaged. Easy assembly of wheel kit. See,s like solid construction. Everything included as described. Haven't used it yet, (not electrically loaded it up yet) but it starts up great. Had a pre-charged battery ready to use included. Runs smooth. Registered it and wrote a review for Westinghouse and they are sending a fitted generator cover for it. I'm currently satisfied and if it works as well as other WH Generators, I will be super happy. Plan to use it as a work-horse on a home construction site for my daughter. Will use gasoline to start building. Shift to Propane once I have some covered structure. Then hook it up to Natural Gas for home electrical back-up power for power outages. It has a CO detector and auto shut-off for operational safety as a power back-up unit. Highly recommend it for similar purposes. My shipping was free with Sam's Plus Membership.

I would give 5 stars if this generator could be operated in the rain. Where I’m located most power outages occur during stormy weather. 

I believe this unit is well made and will last a long time with proper maintenance

Must operate in dry environment

Received this nice looking generator with everything you need on a generator including power to run everything you need. It wouldn’t start for me to even try it out. It a total of 3 weeks I called Westinghouse 5 times trying to talk to someone that could help me get it started. They have people answering just to take messages and forward it to correct department so they can call the customer. In 3 weeks I never received a call back from anyone. All I ever received was text showing me some trouble shooting tip to try. These tips were in the manual that came with the generator so I had already tried all of them. I bought it through Sam’s Club so I finally gave up on Westinghouse and called Sam’s. They are having the delivery service that delivered it come back out and pick it up and refund all my money. If I can’t trust the customer service and warranty department at Westinghouse I do not want their product. I never had a chance to test the generator but customer service and warranty departments are the worse. Because of all this I had to give them a rating if one.
