Looking for a portable generator that supports Dual fuel, remote start and 50amp power inlet and it has everything. Didn't run for long time, just for few mins since purchasing and it was great. Had an electrician installed Power Inlet & Generator Interlock kits to feed the power back into breaker.

Great Features

Great portable home generator. Has the power to run the items needed after loss of power from hurricanes and tropical storms. Our electrician created an easy hookup for our generator with an interlock in the electrical panel to prevent potential damage to our electrical system when the power comes back on. Nice to have the choice of gasoline or propane. We use Ethanol-Free gasoline to prevent gum-up in the carburetor and run the unit every two months. It comes with a quick disconnect for the battery when not in use. The remote start is also a nice feature.

Westinghouse Generator with Plenty of Power

Ordered online and received on time. Simple assembly. Came with required oil. Easy pairing of remote. Connected propane cylinder, flipped the battery switch and hit start on remote. Fired right up. Quiet enough you don’t hear it from inside. Used it to charge golf cart battery for an hour 4 times to break it in. After 4+ hours felt like it used less than half the propane. Should be ready for the next hurricane.

A really powerful whole house generator. 12.5 kw

East TX:  Large majority of satisfied buyers, great features, and price sold me.  Delivery in less than a week which was 2 and a half weeks early was pleasant surprise.  Delivery arrived in great condition and carrier delivered on pallet and set it in my garage for easy assembly.  Propane shortage so can’t hook up yet but have gasoline.  Plan on only using if outages and will hook up to fuse panel later.  Electric start and remote start along with nice layout for doing maintenance rates a 5 star rating from me.

I'm using this as a full-house emergency generator for my 1800 sq ft pacific northwest home. It was easy to setup and started on the first try. I'm powering it with propane. I ran it for 5 hours to break the engine in, then changed the oil and now I'm better prepared for the outages that are likely to happen this winter.

we originally planned to purchase a whole house standby generator but realized we would be limited to home use only. we instead decided to purchase the Westinghouse portable generator  which we could then use for our home backup power and still be used offsite if needed.

Assembled the generator right after the truck driver left. Assembly was no problem having spent decades assembling new equipment at my job before retiring last year. Put fuel and oil in connected the battery and it fired right up. Tested the circuits and all work fine. The only problem with it is that the fuel gauge on top of the tank does not work. Not a huge thing but still for a thousand dollars one would expect everything to work properly. Guess I'll just have to open the tank and peek inside to check the fuel level. Bought it to power our essential appliances in the event of a power outage so fortunately have not had to use it yet.

Nice for the most part.

Would not start so I went through the troubleshooting with a Westinghouse tech and he said it must be the carburetor and asked me if I felt like I could change it out. I said yes if he would send me a tech sheet explaining how to do it. Got the carb and no tech sheet so I You tubed the procedure and changed the carb, but was missing a part on the new carb, so I tried to use that part from the old carb and it did not go well. After calling again, they are supposed to get back with me to have a mechanic walk me through this. I have already wasted 1 1/2 hours of my time for this problem with a brand new generator. Not good

Generator won't start so they want me to repair

Received damaged generator purchased online.  Had a difficult time with the return/exchange over the phone.  Attempted to return in person at Willowbrook Houston location, employee and manager did not want to return the damaged item.  Had to go to a different location for the return.  West Rd location manager was very helpful and returned it.  Willowbrook location lost my business.

Biggest hunk of junk ever! Stopped running on gas after 15 mins. Hooked it to propane, ran ok, but would only carry 2000 watts and would leave the propane tank to about half before shutting down. Westinghouse says to handle the return through Sam's.....been trying to get a return shipping label for well over a week. They keep needing "more time". I've filed a dispute with my credit card.
